Suspension Tips &
Troubleshooting
* When
installing your rear shock put a little upward
pressure on your swing arm before tightening bolts
in order to take out any play. If you don't do this
you can get false sag readings. Torque your bolts.
* When
you service your shock it is a good idea to grease
your linkage, check for rusted bearings, and pay
attention to torque on the swing arm pivot bolts.
Some OEM torque specs are excessive & cause binding
in the linkage.
* Set you sag! Generally should be set to 100-105mm.
Try different settings to see what works best for
you.
* When installing your fork, pay close attention to
properly aligning your front end. Refer to your
owner's manual. Misalined forks can cause binding
which will cause your forks to feel harsh and will
lead to leaky seals & worn bushings. Torque your
pinch bolts.
* Take the time to learn what your clickers do. Even
the best suspension can be improved from track to
track by fine tuning your clickers. Try different
settings, & remember that you can always go back to
the stock settings.
* We recommend changing fork and shock oil at 20
hour intervals. You will be amazed at what fresh oil
will do for your suspension.
